Picture special: Slemish climbers in focus
Hundreds of people from throughout the Mid & East Antrim Borough and beyond headed for Slemish Mountain on Thursday for the traditional climb.
The many who made it to the top were rewarded with spectular views on what was a fabulous day, weather-wise.
Raceview Mill in nearby Broughshane was the hub for the traditional entertainment event on the day, with storytelling, traditional music and children’s entertainment among the attractions laid on for walkers en route to or returning from Slemish.
And the borough Council provided a park and ride facility for ease of access to the 3,000 visitors who, it was predicted, would take part.
