Phylis remembered as new Centre opens
Mayor of the Borough, Michelle Knight McQuillan recognised the work and commitment that Phylis had given to the project as she welcomed guests to the official opening of the new Centre.
In delivering this new forward thinking innovative project, this close-knit community will now benefit from Phylis’s work, and from the work that everyone who attended has previously contributed to ensure the project took place and was completed.

The area has been recognised as an area of high deprivation - high levels of unemployment, low earnings, high levels of pupils entitled to free school meals and
moderate levels of educational attainment.
It is also an area that has had a significant increase in the number of children with additional needs.
Because of these attributes, the area received funding from the Department of Social Development and support from Council in delivering this rebuild project.
