Full scale of repair to be determined after Ballyrobert collision

Staff from the local authority attended the scene in The Longshot area of the village this morning to secure the site.
A council spokesperson said: “Council officers were notified of the incident this morning and immediately secured the area.

Hide Ad“Damage has been caused to the landscaping and a number of sections of fencing. The full scale of repair will be determined once the site has been assessed by an external contractor.”
South Antrim DUP MLA Pam Cameron has praised the council staff for their response.
Mrs Cameron said: “Thanks to the Antrim and Newtownabbey Council staff who are clearing the debris and damage to Ballyrobert village green and fencing, which has been smashed through following an incident during the night.”
The one-vehicle collision was reported to police this morning.

Hide AdA PSNI spokesperson said: “In the early hours of this morning, Friday, October 2, police received a report of a one-vehicle damage only road traffic collision in The Longshot area of Ballyclare.”
“There were no reports of any injuries and the road was not closed.”
