“We as a family had the help and support of the Marie Curie nurses which enabled us to care for our loved one at home in the end of life stage,” explained Valerie.
“We now want to raise as much money as we can to help other families have the help and support they need.”
The couple originally signed up for 10,000 steps a day when after Valerie’s youngest sister Arlene passed away suddenly on February 8, they decided to up the steps to one million in memory of her.
