Kindness shown after fall is appreciated
Following a very memorable service, and when leaving the church, I suffered a heavy fall resulting in a fractured hip and a wound to the head.
After treatment on the spot I found myself transported to the Lagan Valley Hospital and then on to the Royal for an operation and, after a week, back to the LVH for rehabilitation.

But this letter is not about me. Rather it is a big ‘thank you’ to the Mayor and toe the council and its officers.
I recevied visits to the hospitals and my home. The lady who was my companion at the service was taken home by limousin, my car was taken from the church grounds to its usual parking space, and a number of gifts were received including a hamper, some ‘Get Well Juice’ and a very welcome pair of pyjamas for someone arriving in hospital with no ‘kit’. All most thoughtful and compassionate.
So fellow citizens, here is a council and officers doing their best to please.

Thanks are also due to all those friends who visited or inquired about me including the Rev Nichola Dark and his family.
