I would like to add that the problem is not solely confined to Lisburn. I live at Anahilt and it really annoys me to see people in the evenings allowing their dogs to foul the footpath/patches of grass adjacent to the footpath which children use to walk to school next morning. I too would like to know how many fines for dog fouling Lisburn City dog wardens have issued this past year? Hillsborough Park is a disgrace - my children have often been walking along and been confronted by a dog unleashed. They are used to dogs at home but when faced with a strange dog(s) -sometimes almost the size of themselves - it is very intimidating. Likewise my elderly parents go for a walk in the park - if they sit down on a seat to rest they are annoyed by dogs either getting out of the lake and shaking themselves all over them or. Recently, one ran up and put its head on their knees - lovely! Except it was drooling with saliva after its run. I visited the village of Moira on a mild September day and the smell of dog poo from one end to the other was sickening - I dread to think what it would be like on a hot day. I watched several dogs fouling the footpaths watched by their owners. Where are the Dog Wardens? A Disgusted Ratepayer
