Mid Ulster runners remember Fergal as they take part in Dublin marathon
Fergal, from Kildress, near Cookstown, was training for the Dublin 26-miler when he suddenly collapsed at the end of a training session and died.
A group from his club, Acorns AC, travelled to the city for the race and stood for a minute's silence in memory of the 40-year-old prior to the event.

"All the Acorn runners and supporters had Fergal in their thoughts and it pushed the runners through the pain barrier, with eight of the Acorns collecting personal bests on the day," he said.
"Fergal would have been very proud of them all and all the support from the Acorn team and all the good wishes and thoughts from local running clubs."
