Mayor takes the ice bucket challenge
The simple idea behind the ice bucket challenge is that participants dump a bucket of ice-cold water over their heads - all on camera - in aid of a good cause.
Alan Robinson went ahead with it, in aid of cancer research, after being nominated by Londonderry community worker Graeme Warke. Another to have taken on the challenge after a nomination from Graeme is East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell.

“It’s one in a long line of things I’ve had to do like that in aid of a good cause - from dressing up as a woman to this.”
Mr Robinson joked: “I think there were a few people a bit disturbed that day.” He continued: “It is all in a good cause so I was happy to do it.”
