Local students get advice from new online project
It involves a hard hitting and empowering workshop for pupils and parents which deal with issues such as online grooming, general internet safety and guidance on the law on the sharing of indecent images.
Sgt Siobhan Ennis said: “CHAT SHARE THINK! is about empowering young people to make the most out of the internet and social media. We give them simple, light-hearted advice like, don’t share anything that you wouldn’t want your granny to see, as well as explaining some of the more serious dealings we have had with victims and offenders.”

Hide AdVice Principal of Ballymena Academy, Richard Ross added: “The awareness raising sessions gave a very balanced message about the risks associated with mobile technologies and the internet, supporting our young people to make wise decisions about their usage.”
