Lisa ready to sail into married life with a titanic reception
Lynsay Smith, who lives locally, and Brian Evans from Newtownards are the first couple to book their wedding reception in the banqueting suite.
The pair, who got engaged in 2009, booked the venue last year, months before construction work finished on the 1000-seater banqueting suite.

I was intrigued when I heard that Titanic Belfast included a banqueting suite, so we decided it was worth a look. The plans were incredible, so we took the chance and booked the venue in September last year without seeing it in person.
“It was nerve wrecking seeing the Suite for the first time just a few weeks ago, but we were really overwhelmed by the elegance and unique features of the main room and adjoining bars.
“The views and the near-replica grand staircase blew us away. We are looking forward to our wedding more than ever now that we know how beautiful the reception will be and are so excited to share the occasion with our family and friends in what will be a one-of-a-kind location.”
Bookings for the suite have already proved popular not only for weddings, but award ceremonies, conferences and gala dinners, with enquiries being made for as far away as 2017.
