Foreign prisoner dies in Maghaberry
A foreign prisoner has died in Northern Ireland, officials have confirmed.
The unconvicted inmate awaiting trial was from taken from Maghaberry to hospital on February 11. He died on Monday, a Prison Service statement said.
The PSNI, coroner and Prisoner Ombudsman have launched investigations into the death.

Hide AdPrison Service director general Sue McAllister said: “I extend my sympathy and that of the Northern Ireland Prison Service to the family of the prisoner who has sadly died.
“This is a tragedy and my thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
