Fitzpatrick favours reducing voting age to 16

His comments were made following an Assembly debate on the issue last week.

Councillor Fitzpatrick said: “Having the vote is one of the most important rights within a democracy. It therefore follows that the age at which people can vote is a significant political issue. Moreover, I believe that the voting age should be reduced to 16 for all elections.
