Fashion show latest project for Carrick schools
The event is the latest collaboration between pupils at Oakfield and Acorn Integrated primary schools, who have been working together for the past three years as part of the Shared Education Signature Project (SESP).
The schools have previously partnered up for a number of other events, including tree-planting, a Christmas shoebox appeal, shared lessons, and even workshops for parents.

This month’s Night of Fashion, a first for schools working within the project, aims to further develop links with the local community, explained SESP coordinator Vicky Logan. “We’ll have children from both schools modelling as well as parents,” she added.
Loughshore Hotel in Carrickfergus will host the fashion extravaganza on Friday, March 23 from 7-9pm, with Cool FM DJ Pete Snodden acting as compere for the evening.
The night will feature fashion by Cuddy’s and Marks and Spencer’s, along with entertainment from a joint school choir.
