Damaged a pizza delivery van
Before Deputy District Judge Oonagh Mullan was Philip O’Donnell (21), of Baldrick Crescent, who was also ordered to spend a year on probation. O’Donnell pleaded guilty to criminal damage, attempted criminal damage and disorderly behaviour relating to an incident at Strand Road on August 16.
The court heard the O’Donnell and another man kicked large bins belonging to Dominoes Pizza, causing one of them to topple over. O’Donnell got into a delivery van and was asked to get out. He punched and kicked the van, causing a number of dents. The damage was £1,910.

Hide AdDuring police interview, he claimed he had no recollection of the incident because he was so drunk. However, he apologised for his behaviour and said he wished to pay for the damage.
Paddy MacDermott, defending, said his client, who had a number of difficulties, had £200 with him towards compensation.
Imposing sentence, Deputy District Judge Mullan also ordered O’Donnell to pay £1,910 in compensation to Dominoes Pizza.
