Busy weekend for Larne RNLI
The calls came in at around 8.25pm from Belfast coastguard and both lifeboats were launched. The inshore lifeboat went to assist a 20 foot rowing boat in trouble with two people onboard while the all-weather lifeboat was sent to search for missing persons.
The rowing boat was having difficulty reaching land in Ballygally when it was hit by strong tides. The all-weather lifeboat was sent to search Brown’s Bay after reports were received of two canoes washed ashore with nobody on them.
