Livery Hill/Metal Bridge walk
Stranocum Village is the starting and finishing point, allowing walkers the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the Bush Valley and Livery Hill, once an historic horse-racing course!
The route includes sections of the River Bush, quiet country lanes and the Metal Bridge foot crossing at a ford in the River. Views of this idyllic rural countryside include thatched dwelling houses and the historic Stranocum Hall dating back to the 18th century when the Hutchinson family owned the estate.

Hide AdWalkers will also have the opportunity to view the Stranocum Raths, excellent examples of these ancient monuments dating from 350AD-1,000AD, the fortified homes of early communities. To aid recovery, light refreshments will be available at the end of the walk at the Stranocum and District Community site! The walk commences at 7.00pm at Stranocum Community site and costs 2 per person, with a family concession of 5. Alternatively, participants can meet up at Townhead Street Car Park at 6.30pm.
